Guide to planting and taking care of orange trees technically

1. Prepare planting tools and soil

2. Choose varieties and grow oranges

The most appropriate time for planting orangering oranges is at the end of the dry season at the beginning of the rainy season or at the end of the rainy season if conditions are available to irrigate.

3. Take care

Need to provide enough water for the tree in the dry season, when the fruit is growing and the fruit is about to ripen.

To limit weeds, cover the roots with straw, dry grass, mulch, green manure to break the scum after heavy rains. Weeding the spring crop from January to February and the autumn season from August to September, clearing the entire area once per crop; a year of original cultivating 2-3 times.

After planting follow-up cut off the excess branches and buds growing from the rootstock. About 1-2 months when the tree has begun to root, sprout the tops in the afternoon of 70cm. First year: After one month of anise, apply top dressing with diluted nitrogen fertilizer (1%), once every 15-20 days.

Phase 2 – 3: Each year apply 10kg of manure (micro organic fertilizer) + 100g urea + 300g super phosphate + 100g potassium divided into 4 times.

+ 1st time (September – November): 100% organic fertilizer + 100% super phosphate.

+ 2nd time (January – March): 40% urea + 40% potassium.

+ 3rd time (May): 30% urea + 30% potassium.

+ 4th time (July – August): 30% urea + 30% potassium.

Business stage (3rd year onwards) continues to keep the rate of fertilizer and number of fertilizer as above, but increase the amount of fertilizer for each year as follows: 30kg organic fertilizer + 500g super phosphate + 500g urea + 500g potassium.

4. Harvest

Harvest when pods turn from green to yellow (about 20-30 areas of pods). Need to harvest at the right time to create plants to differentiate flower buds well, collect fruits on cool days.

Using scissors for cutting fruit stalks, collect fruits gently to avoid mechanical damage.
